We recognize how important it is that our platform provides a safe environment for everyone in the travel community, and that the content on our site provides useful and authentic guidance that helps travelers discover amazing destinations.
All accepted and posted videos must meet these requirements. Please note that these Video Guidelines may be modified from time to time, so you're encouraged to check back for updates.
All videos must showcase travel-related content including:
Multiple videos per location are accepted, but each video should showcase unique aspects or experiences.
10-30 seconds, maximum 40 seconds
.mp4 and .mov formats only
Maximum 500 MB
1080 x 1920 pixels or higher, minimum 30 FPS
All clips must be filmed in portrait mode (9:16 aspect ratio) for optimal social media performance.
Avoid including copyrighted music, voiceovers, or sound effects. Natural ambient sound is preferred. ReelTravel and licensing brands may modify or replace audio on accepted video submissions.
By uploading content to ReelTravel, you retain ownership of your videos while granting licensing rights. You represent and warrant that:
By uploading content, you grant ReelTravel and its brand partners the right to license your content for advertising and marketing purposes. You will receive revenue share for each license sold according to our terms of service.
Create engaging and informative videos showcasing unique aspects of travel destinations, accommodations, and experiences. Videos should be:
Highlighting the experience of exploring new places
Capturing candid, real travel moments
Modern, elevated travel experiences rooted in culture
Immersive and real, with an on-the-go feel
Feature 2-3 distinct areas such as exterior, rooms, amenities (pools, gyms, dining), and surrounding views. Focus 70% on the property and 30% on local activities.
Showcase the destination's unique character, landmarks, culture, and experiences. Include multiple perspectives and highlight what makes the location special.
Demonstrate the activity in action, showing both the experience and the setting. Include preparation, execution, and results where relevant.
Capture the essence of the location with multiple angles, contexts, and the surrounding environment.
Minimal text is acceptable for context (location names, property names). Avoid watermarks, logos, or promotional text. Use simple, readable fonts in black or white.
Food content is welcome but should not dominate the video. Focus on the dining experience and setting rather than just the food. For alcohol content, all people must appear 21+ and consumption should be moderate.
We strive to create a safe, helpful, and inclusive platform for everyone. The following content is strictly prohibited:
Avoid animal tours or activities that may involve animal welfare concerns. Wildlife should be observed respectfully from appropriate distances.
Do not include visible branding, logos, or references to competing travel platforms, booking sites, or travel services.
Never include personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, door codes, or specific access information for accommodations.
Avoid including specific prices, promotional offers, or time-sensitive information that may become outdated.
All uploaded content goes through our review process to ensure compliance with these guidelines. Videos that don't meet our standards will be rejected with feedback for improvement.
We reserve the right to remove content at any time if it violates these guidelines or our terms of service.
