• Creator Profile: If you register as a Creator, we collect additional details such as your profile picture URL, Instagram ID, and payment-related information (e.g., Stripe account ID) to facilitate payouts for video sales.
• Video Submissions: When you submit videos, we collect the video content and related metadata (e.g., Instagram post details).
• Partner Information: If you register as a Partner, we may collect your business name, contact details, and payment information for purchasing video rights.

Information Collected Automatically

• Instagram Authentication: Through Instagram login, we receive an access token, which allows us to access your Instagram media for display during the submission process. We maintain this token to enable video submissions.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with ReelTravel, such as session duration, pages visited, and actions taken (e.g., video uploads or purchases).
• Device Information: We may collect details about your device, including IP address, browser type, and operating system.

Information from Third Parties

• Instagram: When you authenticate via Instagram, we receive your Instagram ID, username, profile picture URL, and access to your media as permitted by your Instagram settings.
• Stripe: For Creators, we receive payment-related data from Stripe to process payouts (e.g., onboarding status, account verification details).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, improve, and personalize ReelTravel. Specific purposes include:

• Account Management: To create and manage your ReelTravel account, verify your identity, and enable login via Instagram.
• Marketplace Operations: To allow Creators to upload videos, display them to Partners, and facilitate the purchase of video rights.
• Video Processing: To download your Instagram video (as an MP4 file) during submission, store it on our secure Amazon S3 servers, and make it available for Partners.
• Payments: To process payouts to Creators via Stripe and handle payments from Partners for video rights.
• Communication: To send you updates, notifications (e.g., about video sales or account status), and respond to your inquiries.
• Improvement and Analytics: To analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and enhance ReelTravel’s functionality.
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate ReelTravel or comply with legal obligations:

• Between Creators and Partners: Creators’ videos, usernames, and profile pictures are shared with Partners to enable browsing and purchasing. Partners’ business details may be shared with Creators upon a successful transaction.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services to support ReelTravel, such as:
  • Instagram: For authentication and media access.
  • Amazon S3: For secure video storage.
  • Stripe: For payment processing.
  These providers process your data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business Transfers: If ReelTravel is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

• Storage: Your data is stored on secure servers, including Amazon S3 for videos. Instagram access tokens and other sensitive data are encrypted.
• Retention: We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy (e.g., while your account is active or to comply with legal obligations). Videos and related data may be retained indefinitely unless you request deletion (see Section 7).
• Security: We implement industry-standard measures (e.g., encryption, access controls) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your Instagram credentials and ReelTravel account secure.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You have control over your information:

• Account Settings: Update your profile or onboarding details via ReelTravel.
• Instagram Access: You can revoke ReelTravel’s Instagram access through your Instagram settings, though this may limit app functionality.
• Data Access and Deletion: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us (see Section 9). We’ll comply unless we have a legal reason to retain it (e.g., transaction records).
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential communications (e.g., marketing emails) by following unsubscribe instructions.

If you’re in Australia, you have rights under the Privacy Act 1988, including access to and correction of your data. Similar rights may apply under other laws (e.g., GDPR for EU residents).

6. Third-Party Services

ReelTravel integrates with third parties like Instagram and Stripe. These services have their own privacy policies:

• Instagram: Governs your authentication and media access (Instagram Privacy Policy).
• Stripe: Governs payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy).
• Amazon S3: Used for video storage under Amazon Web Services’ terms (AWS Privacy Notice).

We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

7. Video Content and Intellectual Property

• Ownership: Creators retain ownership of their video content until purchased by a Partner. Upon purchase, the agreed rights transfer to the Partner.
• Usage by ReelTravel: By submitting a video, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process it for marketplace purposes (e.g., converting to MP4, hosting on S3).
• Deletion: You may request video deletion from ReelTravel, but copies may remain with Partners who purchased rights or in backups for a limited time.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We’ll notify you of significant updates via email or within ReelTravel. The updated policy takes effect on the “Effective Date” listed above.
